The Roche Écrite National Nature Reserve covers nearly 3,600 hectares of Réunion Island. Incorporated in 2007 to the National Park it is home to all the island’s endemic birds and also to a long list of exotic species, including the very rare Réunion Cuckoo-shrike (the "Tuit-tuit"), for which the reserve was created.
