GEPOG – Founded in 1993 by a group of naturalists, the GEPOG(Group for the Study and Protection of Birds in French Guiana) is a non-profit organization. Since 2006, GEPOG has been a member of France Nature Environnement. GEPOG focuses its work on environmental education and awareness, increasing knowledge of French Guiana’s birds and contributing to their protection.

SEORThe SEOR (Réunion Society for Ornithological Studies) is a non-profit organization founded in 1997. There are currently 240 members and membership has been increasing annually since the organization was created. SEOR’s goal is to foster conservation of Réunion’s avifauna and its habitats. Its expertise in ornithological studies is regularly called upon by territorial planners and management authorities of nature areas. SEOR works to promote knowledge and raise awareness of the protection of the environment, of which birds represent an essential component.

Réunion National Park – Created in 2007, Réunion National Park is a public establishment. It covers 42% of the area of Réunion Island. Like all national parks, it has several missions : to acquire knowledge of and protect landscapes and the cultural and natural heritage ; inform, sensitize and promote visits by the public, thanks in particular to teams present on the ground ; guide and support local, eco-friendly, sustainable development by partnering with relevant stakeholders, primarily in the park’s buffer zone.
